Fall is almost upon us and September in Boulder, Colorado offers plenty of events to celebrate the change of seasons. Soak up the last of sweet summertime with outdoor activities and get excited for autumn with indoor events that are inspiring, thought-provoking, and just downright awesome. Here are a few September happenings we are very excited about.
Fuck Up Night
When: 9/2/21, 6pm
Where: Gordon Gamm Theater
In conjunction with California non-profit, SPUR, the Dairy Arts Center will host its very own version of the non-profit’s “Fuck Up Night”. Four Boulder entrepreneurs (including myself) will entertain guests with first-hand accounts of embarrassing faux pas, messy mix-ups, and costly mistakes that we all had to make on the road to success. Come around 6pm to mix and mingle with other Boulder professionals and entrepreneurs. The panel discussion begins at 7pm and I sure hope to see you there.
Boulder Creek Hometown Festival
When: 9/4 – 9/7/2021 – times vary
Where: downtown Boulder
Don’t miss the last chance to enjoy this highly anticipated annual event. The Boulder Creek Hometown Festival is one of our city’s most beloved, epic outdoor gatherings. Shop local artisan booths for beautiful artwork and handmade goods. Picnic by the creek with delectable eats from local food trucks while indulging in a refreshing craft brew from Boulder’s best breweries.
CommUNITY Revival Arts Market & Festival Fundraiser
When: 9/11 & 12, 1 -10:30pm, each night
Where: VisionQuest Brewery
If there’s one thing we could all use a little more of, its community. This art and music festival and fundraiser work to bring Boulder residents and the surrounding towns together for a welcoming and lively celebration. CommUNITY Fest boasts eighteen musical acts, over 30 artists, a community wood burning art activity, and food trucks. This weekend-long event is a great way to enjoy live music, make new friends, or even nab a piece of original artwork while supporting Boulder’s vibrant artistic community.
Boulder Story Slam
When: 9/12, 7pm
Where: Gordon Gamm Theater
Gather in person for this month’s story slam. Each month, the Dairy Arts Center hosts a story slam that focuses on different topical themes. September’s theme is “LAND” and stories will range from humorous to poignant, but each will have one thing in common – they all tie back to the theme of land. Guests are invited to put their names into a hat, and if they get drawn, will come to the stage and tell a personal, true, 5-min story that in some way relates to “land”. From landing a dream job to crash landing an RC airplane, the stories could really “land” anywhere on the spectrum.
The GAYLA 2021
When: 9/18, 4:30 – 9pm
Where: St Julien Hotel & Spa
