Any and all CEOs of large companies, presidents of businesses, founders or organizations, and entrepreneurs across the board share one important thing: they’ve all made at least one large mistake, committed one embarrassing faux pas, or experienced a course-altering fuck up. For a majority of this vast and varied group, they’ve made more than one mistake on their journey to success. Fuck Up Night invites guests to meet and mingle over beverages in order to laugh together about all of our myriad mistakes. Here’s how to participate in the upcoming FUN with The Dairy Arts Center.
When & Where:
On September 2 at 6pm, join Boulder’s entrepreneurs, professionals, and business owners at the Gordon Gamm Theater. Each will take a few minutes to share their hilarious f-up and pass the mic to the left. Doors open at 6pm and the panel discussion will begin promptly at 7pm.
How it Works
The Dairy has invited four Boulder professionals to participate in this panel. Each will take approximately seven minutes to share their story. From tales about partnerships gone sour to big mistakes that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, each story will be completely true and completely entertaining. Be prepared to laugh, cry, applaud in agreement, and groan in commiseration. After each story, the audience will have a few minutes to ask meaningful questions.
Show up between 6 and 7pm to mix and mingle with community members over appetizers and drinks. This night of FUN makes for a great networking opportunity and gives new business owners the chance to meet established Boulder professionals.
F*** Up Night on the International Stage
Fuck Up Night is an event hosted by a nonprofit called SPUR. Part of SPUR’s mission is to “bring people together from across the political spectrum to develop solutions to the big problems cities face.” Its FUN event in their own communities to engage with each other, learn from each other’s mistakes, and troubleshoot problems that we all face.
If you can’t make it to this event at The Dairy, Fuck Up Nights has many local chapters, including this one in Denver. Regardless of where you are on your own professional journey, FUN gives everyone the chance to peek behind the curtain. We get to recognize one another as perfectly imperfect and totally human.
