About BolderBoulder
BolderBoulder began in 1979 and has become one of the most beloved races in the world. Recognized by Runner’s World as the best 10K in America, this event is the third largest race in the United States and is immensely popular for its gorgeous scenery and friendly vibe. Held on Memorial Day, BB honors the sacrifice our troops have made and hosts a Memorial Day tribute after the completion of the race. The tribute will be held at Folsom Field at 12pm on Monday, May 28. The ceremony is open to both spectators and runners, and often draws crowds of up to 70,000 people.
Details For Runners
If you’ve been training hard in preparation for an event, BolderBoulder is the perfect occasion to see what you’ve got. Whether you’re a competitive runner who has a proven track record or you’d prefer to walk or jog the 10K, you’re welcome (and encouraged) to participate. This race offers a variety of start times, or “waves,” so you can choose the best category for your needs. The first 30 waves require proof of qualification, but all other waves operate on a first-come, first-served basis. To learn more about this system and select your division, please visit this site. You can submit your entry online or in-person, but register early to avoid the chaos of signing up on race day.
