Warby Parker, the socially conscious e-commerce designer eyewear giant that has rejuvenated brick-and-mortar stores, has just opened what co-founder and co-CEO Dave Gilboa calls “the best mountain view of any Warby Parker store in existence”. With over 50 stores across the U.S. and Canada, Warby Parker has opened its first store in Colorado on our very own Pearl Street. The new store, which opened July 8, 2017, “is the home base we’ve been eager to build for years”, according to Mr. Gilboa.
Warby Parker was founded by four friends in 2010 who questioned why the price of glasses were so exorbitant and why the process of buying eyewear was so often unnecessarily cumbersome. So, they came up with a solution: bypass traditional supply-chain channels by designing their glasses in house at a fraction of the price. For example, high-quality, fashion-forward prescription eyewear starts at just $95.00. Even better, Warby Parker believes everyone should have the right to see. As such, for every pair of glasses or sunglasses purchased, a pair is donated to help those in need through Warby Parker’s “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program.
Now, about the store itself…you’ll find a vibrant mural inspired by Boulder’s mountainous surroundings and designed in-house by the Warby Parker team. You’ll find advisors to help you pick the perfect frame for your facial features. You’ll even find opticians on site to give immediate optical measurements for the perfect fit. Enjoy free frame adjustments, order pickups, and prepare to be surprised by how quick, easy, and truly fun Warby Parker has made the eyeglass shopping experience.
There’s more the new store at 1949 Pearl Street has to offer: limited-edition, Boulder-exclusive sunglasses – the Ormsby in Crystal Aqua with Flash Mirrored Bright Silver lenses.
Head to what may become the home base for Warby Parker seven days a week, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. If you’ve never been to a Warby Parker brick-and-mortar, or perhaps have never heard of the company and are looking for your next pair of prescription or non-prescription sunglasses or eyewear, make your way over to see what you’ve been missing.
