Ironman Boulder
Local athletes and sports fans are gearing up for Ironman Boulder, coming up quickly on August 2nd. As many of you know, the event features a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and marathon (26.2 mile) run, and will be held on a multi loop course throughout Boulder County. It will conclude on Pearl Street, where we can rally to cheer on the competing triathletes as they cross the finish line.
2015 Boulder Asian Festival
Celebrate Boulder’s diverse Asian and Pacific Islander communities at The 20th Annual Boulder Asian Festival on August 8th and 9th. The weekend celebration, held at the Pearl Street Mall, will feature the music, dance, visual arts, crafts, foods, and traditions of several local Asian-Pacific groups, including those of our Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Thai, Korean, Indian, and Hawaiian neighbors.

Boulder Craft Beer Festival
In addition to all the amazing shows and upcoming outdoor events, there is a delicious local festival this month that you can’t miss. On August 22nd, sample some of the best craft beers our breweries have to offer at The 2nd Annual Boulder Craft Beer Festival. With 20 different participating brewing companies, including Avery, Left Hand, 12 Degree, Walnut, and Upslope, and tasty bites from local food vendors and trucks, there’s no reason why you wouldn’t want to check this out. Bonus: you’ll also get to enjoy live music and lawn games alongside your fellow craft beer enthusiasts and locavores. Tickets are available online for the event, which will be held at Central Park.
August will be jam-packed with great shows at some of the best local venues, as well as exciting outdoor events celebrating Boulder’s unique and diverse culture. It’s going be a fun month, so be sure to get out and enjoy it – I know I will.
