Blast From the Past: Remembering Bananas
Although not quite news, our restaurant roundup provides a great opportunity to pay homage to a Boulder icon from the past: Bananas! Bananas enjoyed a 10+ year stint on 30th and Walnut, and was the brainchild of the legendary late Wayne Dozier. Dozier was a famous restaurateur in Boulder who also founded the Walrus in 1973, as well as Sebastian’s. Bananas reigned in the 1970s and ‘80s, and was a one-of-a-kind contemporary rock-n-roll spot (and also the first place in Boulder to serve fried cheese, allegedly).
When you live in Boulder, it’s possible to enjoy a different restaurant every day if you wish. We have a truly incredible number of options here, and we’re always excited to welcome newcomers. The latest news in Boulder restaurants mentioned here are just what we know about now–there are sure to be more on the horizon!
