What to Expect
Although the Derby isn’t starting until later in the day, there’s plenty to enjoy beforehand. While you’re here, you can dance to a live performance by the Maydays while exploring the premium open bar. The band offers an authentically southern sound, and the buffet serves beloved southern classics to match the vibe.
Cigars are a staple of Derby Day (and they pair perfectly with bourbon!). Between 2:15 and 4:15, Palma Cigars will be on-site to offer hand-rolled cigars. It’s a fun addition for an exciting day.
Of course, the Run for the Roses is known for its elaborate hats, so no Derby celebration would be complete without paying homage to this long-standing tradition. The hat contest is a great chance to showcase your best headwear and win fantastic prizes!
