Boulder is known for more than its stunning mountain views, health-conscious lifestyle, and progressive culture. Our Colorado city is home to a variety of start-ups across multiple industries. Entering its 10th year, Boulder Startup Week (BSW) celebrates, connects, and educates the various startup communities around our lovely mountain town.
All About BSW:
This volunteer-run event hosts an annual celebration of entrepreneurship that connects distinctive companies in and around Boulder through engaging events. This year, BSW is comprised of a variety of exhibitions throughout the 5-day long festival. With over 200 events, planned and presented by industry experts, there’s something in which to participate for every business and brand.
Each event is free and open to the public and this year’s turn out is expected to reach anywhere from 8,000-10,000 participants. Space is limited at certain venues, but you can reserve spots ahead of time if there’s a particular event of interest. Check out the schedule here.
When and Where:
Kicking off on May 13, Boulder Startup Week events take place all around town, making it easy and accessible to stop by on your lunch break to check out any number of events! The first starts Monday at 8:30 am and the festivities continue throughout the week.
The speaker-led events run through Friday, but that doesn’t mean the end of BWS just yet. The entire week closes with the Founder Fights finale on Saturday, May 19. The gloves come on as the founders of some of Boulder’s most treasured companies step into the boxing ring. Not only is this a night full of entertainment, but all proceeds go to charity. So far, this organization has raised $237,000 for local charities.
Get Involved:
If you’re interested in getting involved beyond attending presentations and exhibits, then you’ve come to the right place. This event runs solely on the help of volunteers and sponsors. Not only will you get to give back to the community, but you’ll have the chance to network directly with fellow volunteers and attendees at a variety of events, as well.
If you’re looking to get some advertising for your startup or want to capitalize on additional marketing opportunities for your business, here are Boulder Startup Week’s sponsorship opportunities. BSW ensures maximum visibility, complete pass through to programs, and sponsorship is 100% tax deductible.
