This holiday season, we are again reminded of all that we have to be grateful for. A gratitude practice is fantastic for mental health, so let’s put this gratitude into practice. Volunteering with Boulder County’s wonderful nonprofits connects you with like-minded communities actively collaborating to make the place we live equitable and just for all living beings. Feet Forward
This peer-led organization offers support to individuals currently experiencing houselessness by pairing them with others who have made their own way out. Founded in 2021, this new nonprofit has already made a significant impact in Boulder County. In addition to numerous other services, Feet Forward identified 36 people who slipped through the cracks in housing programs and was able to secure homes for 11 of those individuals. Every Tuesday from 2 – 3:45pm, Feet Forward serves dozens of hot meals, clothing, gear, and more to neighbors living outside. Not only is this an awesome way to love your neighbor, it’s a fantastic way to meet like-minded individuals as well.
Boulder County provides plenty of ways for each of us to get involved with local nonprofits making huge impacts for our city’s residents. When you donate your time and energy, you donate your soul’s currency. It’s a gift that not only benefits other human beings, but also raises the vibration of this place we live, making this town an even more enjoyable place.
