What to Expect
TEDxBoulder is an independently organized program that’s inspired by the extensive network of TED events. The focus is different each year, offering Boulder residents a remarkable opportunity to gather and share groundbreaking ideas. Last year, the topic was Climate and Change. This year, the 10th annual TEDx event will feature a diverse lineup of local presenters. The schedule is still under wraps, but you can follow the TEDxBoulder Facebook page to keep an eye out for updates as we get closer to the date. The event will consist of two 90-minute sessions in which attendees will enjoy inspiring presentations and discussion. TEDxBoulder events are always a hit with the folks in our town, and the community-powered program consistently receives excellent feedback from participants. More About TED and TEDx
TED is a nonprofit organization that was created to spread powerful ideas throughout the globe. The network began as a conference in 1984 to share ideas on Technology, Entertainment, and Design. TED has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception, and now offers talks on nearly every topic imaginable. Many discussions are available for free online, so if you can’t make the Boulder event, you can still tune in to find a topic of interest.
The TEDx program emerged to bring TED-style talks to communities around the world. Although these discussions are independently organized, event coordinators must apply for a license to host an event. To learn more about the TEDx program or find an event near your city, head over to this site.
Boulder is a wonderful place to call home, and there’s no shortage of illuminating events to enjoy. We’re fortunate to be part of the TEDx program and have the chance to attend a TED-style talk each year.
