As winter winds down and spring comes into full bloom, you know it’s time to participate in one of Boulder’s most anticipated events: the Taste of Pearl. This culinary celebration features fifteen of the best restaurants in town, paired with fifteen of Colorado’s greatest wineries and distilleries. Here’s everything you need to know about the 9th-annual award-winning event.
When and Where
On April 29th, from 2-6pm take a leisurely stroll on Pearl Street between 9th and 18th. Explore Boulder’s local boutiques and top-notch galleries while sipping local libations and indulging in culinary excellence. As an added bonus, most boutiques involved are offering event-exclusive discounts.
The Who’s Who of Boulder Dining and Drinking
Whatever your palate prefers, this event provides. Sample some soulful latin cuisine from Centro Mexican Kitchen, explore the creations from neo-pub Emmerson, taste the creative and organic offerings from Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant, and many more. From pizza to seafood, there is no shortage of delectable bites at Taste of Pearl.
This event also spares no expense when it comes to wine and distilleries. Options abound here, with everything from the artisanal whisky and rum from Geek Spirits to the award-winning wines of Bookcliff Vineyards. Sample the best local tequila or try some authentic mead. There are distilleries and wineries aplenty, so be sure to sample responsibly.
Tickets and More
Taste of Pearl will occasionally have tickets available day-of, but with an event this popular, it’s best to purchase in advance.
General Admission tickets include a keepsake bag, wine glass, entry to all fifteen locations for samples of food and beverages, and a $5 off coupon for one bottle of wine or spirits from participating vendors. Tickets are available online until noon on Sunday, April 29th, and–if available–on site beginning at 12:30pm at the Visitor Information Center at 1303 Pearl Street. Check in for General Admission begins at 1:45pm on the 1300 block of Pearl Street. ring your ticket and your ID, as no admittance will be permitted without proper identification.
VIP tickets are not available onsite the day of the event. The tickets include everything at the General Admission level, as well as exclusive events and swag. Attend the VIP Kick-Off Party co-hosted by Boulder Lifestyle Magazine on Thursday, April 26th from 5:30-7:30 at SmithKlein Gallery and enjoy complimentary beverages and small bites. VIP Ticket holders get an early check-in from 12:45, an early start at 1:00pm, and receive a take home dessert box from T & Cakes.
