Fall Festival

The Downtown Boulder Fall Festival is a highly anticipated autumn celebration, and one of the largest events in town. Drawing crowds of over 80,000 in 2014, this 3-day festival features food, beer, and music, in addition to artisan booths and a children’s carnival. This family-fun event will be held Friday-Sunday, September 18-20, at the Pearl Street Mall.
2015 Adventure Film Festival
Taking place September 12-13, Boulder’s 11th annual homegrown film festival will take you on an adventure as you watch the best and most inspiring films of the year. Join international adventurers, artists, athletes, filmmakers, and activists as you enjoy award-winning outdoor and environmental films. The festival, an international arena for independent films, unveils the sheer passion of the moment for some of the world’s greatest adventurers through world-class digital storytelling.
Boulder Creek Hometown Festival
A Boulder staple, the Hometown Festival has been featuring local music, artists and food for almost 20 years. If food’s your thing, opt for the Chili Inferno Cook-Off. If you’re more of a fitness junky, be sure to check out the Hometown Festival 5k. As if that wasn’t enough, the September 4 – 7 occasion wraps up with the LETR StarLite Classic Car & Motorcycle Show. There’s plenty to do for all ages, and with over 100 arts & crafts exhibitors and daily live music, this event is sure to be another one to remember.
Tedx Boulder
The sixth edition of Tedx Boulder is bound to turn some heads once again. The September 19th show brings in renowned speakers from around the world for a unique experience focused on intelligent discussion and the exchange of ideas. A ticket also gets you a light picnic dinner, and the first 750 through the doors will receive a t-shirt. The past five events have averaged 98% positive feedback, and we expect nothing less from the sixth one.
Fashion’s Night
Starting at 2 pm on September 26th, over 25 downtown Boulder retailers will debut fashion styles, complete with in-store special events after the show. From Alex and Ani to Zeal Optics, you’ll be introduced to the newest and greatest fall styles. The main event sees styles from each of Boulder’s partnered retailers being showcased at an actual fashion show on Pearl Street. The catwalk is a favorite every year, and is sure to give you the feeling of a Paris fashion show – with a Boulder flare. Fashionistas in attendance will have plenty of opportunities to join in on independent in-store events hosted by local boutiques, so stop by and join in on a night full of live music, food & drinks, and mini makeovers!

Pearl Street Stampede
This fall, the stampede tradition is back! Before every CU Buffs home game, join the Golden Buffalo Marching Band and the CU Football team for the Pearl Street Stampede. Start off a great night with the whole family with a parade beginning at the Boulder County Courthouse at 7 pm, concluding with a pep rally at 11th and Pearl. The event is free to the public, and is the perfect opportunity to get into football and CU spirit as the season kicks off with the Buffs’ home opener on September 12th against Massachusetts.
September will be an exciting month full of concerts, festivals, fashion, and athletics. Boulder is an incredible place to be this time of year due to our city’s renewal process as students come back to town, and we make a transition to fall. Enjoy the leaf-strewn streets, cooler temperatures, pumpkin-flavored everything, and most of all, the traditional Boulder entertainment. Let us know which events you will be checking out this September!
