Boulder County’s exceptional commitment to sustainable, organic practices has attracted culinary masters, flavor aficionados, and small farmers to the area for decades. For the average tourist, that means it is very hard to find a bad meal in the area, and for foodies near and far, that means it’s an opportunity to seek out some of the freshest, most delicious meals in our state. While there are many restaurants in Boulder and the surrounding area that offer locally-sourced ingredients on their menus, many of those local farms have created their own unforgettable on-site dining experiences that are only available during the growing season.
Black Cat Farm
Black Cat Farm is now offering farm dinner reservations for the 2022 season. The organic farmstead offers patrons an alfresco dining experience with plenty of time built into the evening to explore the gardens. Dine in an historic blacksmith barn, the garden cabanas, or on the pergola-shaded patio. The prix-fixe menu is served family-style in three courses, based on the freshest ingredients from the farm and kitchen. You can also visit their sister restaurant, Bramble & Hare, year-round in downtown Boulder.

Lyons Farmette
No two farm dinners are alike at Lyons Farmette. The 1-acre farm mostly focuses on growing flowers for weddings and events, but they are still known for providing fresh produce for local restaurants, as well as hosting their own farm-to-table feasts. The four-course farm dinners kick off in July, featuring a lineup of local chefs and caterers.

Three Leaf Farm
Owned by local restaurateurs Lenny and Sara Martinelli, Three Leaf Farm has been providing organic produce for their five Boulder area restaurants since 2010. The award-winning farm offers a short series of on-site dinners, beginning in June. The family of Three Leaf restaurants includes Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant, The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, The Chautauqua Dining Hall, Zucca Italian Ristorante, The Huckleberry, and The Boulder Tea Company.

For a more casual garden-side experience, stop by 63rd St Farm for their weekly Mingle & Feast event, starting in June. Whether or not you are a member of their CSA program, community members are invited to visit the farm on Thursdays for an evening of farm-fresh pizza, live music, and more. They will also be offering ‘seed-to-plate’ dinners later in the growing season, to be announced.
