Rocky Mountain Equality, an organization committed to helping LGBTQ+ individuals live authentically in a compassionate and inclusive world, has several events lined up for late summer and early fall. Here’s what’s coming up:
Esoterra Community Gardens
Esoterra Community Gardens offers a field trip for middle school students, held every second Monday from April through September. Participants will learn gardening skills, join a community garden, and explore various produce, from berries to edible flowers.
Light Room Farm
Light Room Farm is an outing designed for high school students, giving young people the chance to explore various farm activities. Participants will meet baby farm animals, learn about husbandry, understand organic farming practices, and leave with a bushel or two of fresh produce. These field trips are scheduled for August 20th, September 10th, and October 8th.
Radiance Redefined Workshop
The Radiance Redefined Workshop happens on August 22. Open to all experience levels, this workshop offers an in-depth look at the details of contouring. Participants will learn how to enhance their natural glow, experiment with makeup, and embrace their own inner (and outer) radiance.
Rock Climbing Field Trip
RME’s rock climbing field trip occurs on the evening of September 17th and is aimed at high school students. Forget the gym; this trip is outdoors, providing a chance to climb real rocks. It offers climbers valuable experience so they can, someday, conquer the Flatirons!
Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival
The Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival runs from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 3rd, offering a lively mid-fall celebration. Enjoy performances by local drag artists and dance groups, catered food, a mooncake tasting, a jade rabbit scavenger hunt, many interactive activities, and more!
