What is Meow Wolf?
Meow Wolf, an immersive-experience company with a cult-like following, is opening its third permanent art installment in Denver, Colorado this fall. The five story, 90,000 square-foot campus will feature an other-wordly collaborative exhibit from 110 visionary Denver-based artists, a music venue, a retail space and a cafe.
Why Escapism?
The past two pandemic years have many of us yearning for an alternate universe. Meow Wolf sets its sights on providing the escape we crave, two hours at a time, while we adjust to the reality of our bizarre new normal.
Meow Wolf Denver has been in the works for four years, having dealt with normal business-opening delays, as well as the more complex Coronavirus concerns and regulations. The museum is sure to be worth the wait, as it aims to send visitors on a true mind-bending journey as they pass through its elaborate and large-scale interactive new media exhibition. With 70 rooms and four stories of transformative artwork, the museum lends endless eye-opening and perspective shifting possibilities to its guests.
Where is the Experience Located?
The one-of-a-kind structure housing Meow Wolf Denver is located in downtown Denver. The expansive building can’t be missed from the highway as you pass by.
Sante Fe, New Mexico is the home of Meow Wolf’s flagship location, The House of Eternal Return, while Las Vegas recently opened its doors to the Omega Mart exhibit. Denver residents might also be familiar with Meow Wolf’s Kaleidoscape, an artist-driven contemporary dark ride that took over for the Ghostbusters ride at Elitch Gardens Theme Park and Water Park in 2018.
