Boulder has a way of making every day special, so when certain holidays come along, there is no doubt that they are going to be a blast. Easter is one of those days, especially if you have little ones running around. There’s nothing like enjoying a mad dash for that golden egg with your sidekick, or capturing photos of those awkward moments with the Easter bunny. As parents, these are the memories we just can’t wait to make. A child’s happiness is infectious in the best possible way, and it’s our privilege to tag along for these exciting events. On that note, here are our top picks for making the most of Easter with your favorite littles.
City of Lafayette Easter Egg Hunt
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Lafayette is a free event held at Waneka Lake Park. The city welcomes children ages 1-8 to enjoy all manner of Easter-themed activities, including photos with the Easter bunny after the hunt. They suggest that you arrive at 10am on March 19 for the hunt, but plan to head over much earlier than that. This is a local favorite, and parking is tight. If you’re close enough, walking or biking is a great idea. Visit the City of Lafayette to learn more.
ABC Kids Easter Parents’ Night Out
On a typical Saturday, the ABC Kids Parents’ Night Out program includes pizza, a movie, and a ton of fun for the kids. While you’re giving yourself the night off, you can rest assured that they are enjoying themselves climbing and playing games with others their age. On March 26, ABC Kids will hold a special Easter Parents’ Night Out, which is sure to include even more excitement than usual. Visit ABC Kids Climbing to learn more.
Cinderella Live Theater for Children
Boulder Dinner Theater is currently hosting an ongoing production of Cinderella Live Theater for Children, and Easter weekend is a great time to catch the show. It is performed by professional actors, but children are pulled from the audience to perform certain roles. Afterwards, there is a Q&A session where the audience is invited to learn more about everything that goes on behind the scenes. Catch the March 26 show at 10am, and visit Boulder Dinner Theater Academy for additional information.
