
Halloween is an exciting time because it gives us all the chance to dress-up, indulge in sweet treats, and join in on a little spooky fun. Your little ones are sure to enjoy participating in our city’s numerous Halloween parties, events, or activities. There’s plenty to do for children of all ages around Boulder; here are some of our favorites!
STEM Camps – Halloween Hack
When: 10/17, 10/24, 4 – 6:30 pm
Where: SEEC, CU Boulder East Campus
During this multi-day camp, children will have the opportunity to transform their Halloween costumes into interactive, wearable pieces. Through technology-based activities, participants may make their costumes light up, make noise, and move. Children just need to bring their own favorite costume and everything else will be provided. Family Day Paint “Haunted House”
When: 10/20, 2 – 4 pm
Where: POSHsplat
Channel your inner Picasso at this Halloween-themed, kid-friendly class. Painters of all levels will have a blast following along the instructor-lead lesson as they create their very own haunted house vignette. Paints, brushes, canvases, and upbeat music are provided, allowing guests to craft their own masterpiece to take home and hang on the wall.
Halloween Carnival
When: 10/25, 3 – 5 pm
Where: South Boulder Recreation Center
Join in on Halloween fun with other South Boulder community members at this year’s neighborhood carnival. This family friendly event is suited for children ages 3-8, but all are welcome to attend. Activities such as arts and crafts, a photo backdrop, a bouncy castle, face paint, and more are sure to delight the little ones.
WOW!’s Halloween Party
When: 10/25, 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Where: WOW! Children’s Museum
Show up dressed in your Halloween best to this holiday party fit for children of all ages. Varied activities include hands-on fun like build-a-monster crafts and science experiments. Guests may participate in the costume parade, join in lively Halloween-themed games, or test their luck with WOW!’s many giveaways.
Munchkin Masquerade
When: 10/31, 3 – 6 pm
Where: Pearl Street
Boulder’s historic Pearl Street looks awfully cute when it’s invaded by thousands of tiny, costumed, trick-or-treaters in search of a baskets full of candy. Businesses along Pearl hand out candies to ghosts, zombies, and superheroes all afternoon as kids amble around our beautiful mountain haven. For a list of participating stops, check here.
