One of our favorite weeks of the year happens in June. Boulder County’s PRIDE Week ushers in a bevy of inclusive events to share joy, celebrate love and bring people from all walks of life together. On Thursday, June 1 from 12 – 1 pm, stop by the Pearl Street Mall to witness the raising of the Rainbow flag over our city, kicking off PRIDE. For a list of activities, visit Out Boulder.
RIVER

Throughout the entire month of June, The Dairy Arts Center will show the award-winning documentary, RIVER. This timely film showcases the earth’s waterways and their impacts on humans throughout history. We are growing acutely aware of the importance of healthy rivers and watersheds. This joyful yet cautionary tale captures the everlasting relationship between rivers and the people surrounding them, leaving the audience with a hopeful message about the eventual fate of our planet and her waterways.
Colorado Creatives Unleashed

Where: R Gallery + Wine Bar
Come witness the creative minds behind Boulder’s incredible art scene. This exhibit features a variety of work from local painters, photographers, sculptors, and more. From avant-garde abstract shapes to traditional depictions of natural wonders, Colorado Creatives Unleashed has something for every preference. Purchase an original piece for your home or simply enjoy a stroll through a beautiful gallery filled with unique works.
Boulder Jewish Festival
When: June 4, 11 am – 5 pm
Where: Pedestrian Blocks on Pearl Street
Food vendors, artists, performers, and more come together on June 4th to celebrate Jewish culture, heritage, and spirituality. Learn more about Jewish traditions, taste delicious food, and meet others in this welcoming community. Hosted by the Boulder JCC, numerous Jewish-centric organizations set up booths so they can share resources on how to invest more in the community.
IRONMAN 70.3

Each year, IRONMAN brings its challenging race to our city and participants flock from across the world to swim, bike, and run all 70.3 miles of the course. If you’re looking for a way to participate without actually powering through the race, IRONMAN and its racers rely on excited, energetic volunteers to man the aid stations, routes, and finish line. Part of what makes Boulder so awesome is its adventurous and dedicated outdoor community testing its mettle against the toughest of challenges. Let’s support them while they tick off a bucket list item.
Boulder Comedy Festival

This five-day festival brings together a national comedy community, creating a hilarious event not to be missed. Headliners include touring comedians with specials on Comedy Central and Netflix performing at venues all over town, including The Dairy Arts Center, Finkel & Garf, and the Junkyard Social Club. With over 25 stand-up comedians in the line-up, local comics get the opportunity to perform and share their material with an engaged crowd while meeting their comedy heroes. Spend the evening cutting up with comedy lovers while supporting our creative community.
While Boulder, Colorado is exciting year-round, June might just be our favorite month. Temperatures are perfect, mornings are gentle and nights are long, giving us more time to connect with ourselves, get outside, and meet new friends that call this amazing place home.
