Here’s something just a bit different for you, courtesy of The Colorado Shakespeare Festival Education Department at CU Boulder. Enjoy a one-day workshop that features scenes and monologues about all of your favorite ghosts, goblins, and sprites from various works of William Shakespeare. The workshop culminates in a half-hour performance for family and friends, which is by invitation only, so come prepared to give your loved ones a show! Tuition for this workshop is $60, and students of all experience levels are encouraged to join.

After performing for over a decade, Devotchka has become both a local favorite and a national sensation. Their eclectic style offers something for everyone, no matter your taste in music. This is a Halloween activity that requires no introduction. There’s not much to say about this beloved cult classic that hasn’t already been said. This Halloween-themed 5k and 10k run/walk, which benefits various youth organizations in our community, will take you through beautiful Historic Downtown Erie. Race down the scenic Erie trail systems that run alongside the Coal Creek open space. Those who are feeling really brave should choose to run the 10k race, which passes by the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
You don’t have to be a daredevil to have a great time at this year’s Eerie Erie, however. Strollers and leashed pups are welcome to tag along, but you’re asked to line up behind the competitive runners if you plan to walk with a sidekick. Light breakfast and sips will be served, and be sure to stick around after the race to see who will walk away with one of this year’s exciting raffle prizes!
