Programs at Growing Gardens
I’m a big fan of the work that Growing Gardens does for our community. This organization offers numerous community gardens throughout Boulder, as well as classes and programs. Classes are available throughout the year, and participants can learn everything from Front Range vegetable gardening to all about bees and goats. If you’d like to register for an upcoming class or make a donation, head over to the Growing Gardens site.
Classes at Harlequin’s Gardens
Harlequin’s Gardens is a sustainable nursery and garden center located on North 26th Street in Boulder. Here, you’ll find a variety of interesting and educational courses. Classes are typically 1.5 to 2 hours long, and often feature hands-on activities. Most classes will take place at the Boulder Circus Center (next door to Harlequin’s Wholesale). Whether you’re looking for in-depth classes for experienced gardeners or kid-friendly courses, you can find it all here!

Colorado Master Gardener Program
If you’re interested in becoming a master gardener, the Colorado Master Gardener Program may be for you. Accepted applicants receive thorough horticultural education and are required to give back to the community through volunteer hours. Whether you’re simply ready to take your gardening skills to the next level or you’d like to pursue a career in horticulture, the Colorado Master Gardener Program is an excellent stepping stone.
