
If you live in Boulder or have traveled here, you probably know about the incredible dining scene. There’s no shortage of fantastic restaurants in our city, from casual spots to Michelin star dining rooms. Whether you’re a bona fide foodie or simply want to explore what Boulder offers, First Bite Boulder is for you. This event was launched in 2005 to shine a spotlight on Boulder County’s restaurant scene and build a stronger community through food. To participate this year, here’s everything you need to know:
The Details
First Bite 2023 is running from October 20-29, so there’s plenty of time to visit participating restaurants. There’s a lot I love about First Bite and the wonderful restaurants that engage–and part of what’s so great is that each eatery is offering a special menu just for this event. You can visit this site for a list of all the restaurants that are part of First Bite, and determine whether they’re offering brunch, lunch, or dinner (or multiple options). Please remember that this is a non-ticketed event, so you’ll need to make reservations directly with your restaurant(s) of choice. Check back soon for updated menus!
Special Events
First Bite is all about community and how food connects us. Leading up to and during the official event, there are several opportunities to enjoy our vibrant restaurant scene with fellow Boulder residents. These are ticketed events, so you’ll need to visit each link for registration details. Here’s a quick look at special dining events happening this year:
- October 8, 1:00-5:00 pm: E-Bike Food Tour with JD’s Joyrides
- October 12, 5:00-8:00 pm: Walking Food Tour with Local Table Tours
- October 15, 1:00-5:00 pm: Bus Food Tour with Wonder Tours
- October 21, 8:00 am-12:00 pm: Come to Market with Chef
- October 23, 6:00 pm: The Sink 100th Anniversary Film Showing
- October 25: Twin Flame Lamb Dinner at Gemini
