
After a COVID-forced semi-hiatus, one marked by drive-in screens and limited runs, the 2022 Film on the Rocks is back in full swing! This beloved summertime tradition gives movie-goers the chance to watch their favorite films under the Milky Way while nestled inside the beautiful rust-colored boulders of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Tickets are on sale now!
The series kicks off on June 13 and takes place on various Mondays throughout the summer. Each event features a pre-screening performance and other amenities (like free parking!). The 2022 schedule includes the following five films:
Thor: Ragnarok on June 13
Thor: Ragnarok is the tale of Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth), who finds himself in a battle with Hela (Cate Blanchett) as he tries to save his homeworld and the Asgardian civilization. Come for Thor and stay for the Hulk (or vice versa). Reserve your tickets here.
The Sandlot on July 18
The Sandlot is one of those films that you can never see too many times. It tells the story of Scott Smalls, a fifth-grader in early 1960s suburbia, who moves to a new neighborhood and makes friends with a local group of baseball players. The Greatest Showman pays homage to PT Barnum (played by Hugh Jackman). Summer of Soul on August 1
The critically-acclaimed and Oscar-winning Summer of Soul is a documentary that celebrates Black history, music, culture, and fashion.
