Stout Month
When: 2/1 – 2/28
Where: Mountain Sun Pub and Brewery
The much anticipated 26th annual Stout Month kicks off February 1 at Mountain Sun Pub and Brewery. At least a dozen taps are taken over by dark, rich stouts from around the region with a few out-of-state exceptions. This event gives beer lovers a chance to try uncommon, outstanding stouts that highlight the traditional qualities of this centuries old brew.
Chakra Balancing Singing Bowls
When: 2/1, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Where: Boulder Psychic Institute
Looking to break out of your comfort zone or shake up your Friday night tradition? Check out Boulder Psychic Institute for a fresh experience. Chakra Balancing Singing Bowls is a meditative event focused on helping participants get in touch with their internal energy. During the 40-minute sound meditation, singing bowls will be placed near each meditator to encourage a calm state. This event makes for an unusual experience that may even open your eyes to new people and opportunities.
Fly Tying Specialist Presentations
When: 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Where: Front Range Anglers
Fly fishing season is quickly approaching. Front Range Anglers will host presentations on fly tying each Saturday throughout the months of February and March. If you’re looking to try a new summer sport, stop by Front Range Anglers. In addition to these weekly events, they offer guided fishing trips throughout the Rockies and are well-known for their adventure travel program, taking fly fishers as far as Alaska and Belize. You might fall in love with the adventure of fly fishing and get a chance to explore our beloved Rockies in a new way.
Boulder Comedy Show
When: 2/3, 7:00 & 9:15 pm
Where: Bohemian Biergarten
Voted the Best of Boulder for 4 years by Westword, this comedy show is not only hilariously entertaining but a pillar of the Boulder community. It’s the longest running comedy show in Boulder’s history and many of its comedians progressed to earn features on HBO, Showtime, The Tonight Show, Late Show, and more. Sip tasty Czech beer from Biergarten’s diverse list and watch some of the best stand-up in the state.
Becoming American – A Documentary Film and Discussion Series
When: 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Museum of Boulder
This February, The Museum of Boulder will host a discussion series based on the documentary, Becoming American. Join the community for educated discussion on immigration in America that will encompass its history, current state, and future progression. This series works to inform and engage participants in a friendly, open manner.
Daybreaker BLDR // DUSK: One Love
On Valentine’s Day, Daybreaker Boulder kicks of 2019 with it’s first ever DUSK featuring global DJ phenom, Alex Cruz. Daybreaker is an early morning sober dance movement that starts your day with energy and intention, and this month we’re celebrating “One Love” as we close the day but open our hearts.
Craft Chocolate and Fine Spirits Valentine’s Day Pairing
When: 2/14, 5:30 pm
Where: J&L Distilling Company
Join the cocktail craftsmen and women at J&L Distilling Company for artisanal chocolates from Shanao Cacao and a spirit tasting flight. Local Chef Dinner

Where: BookCliff Vineyards Tasting Room
This five-course wine dinner hosts local chef Bradford Heap with Wild Standard and Salt Bistro. Guests will experience exquisite cuisine prepared by highly-trained and talented chefs while sampling BookCliff’s delicious wines. Enjoy the charming atmosphere of BookCliff Vineyards while swapping stories with friends over mouth-watering dishes.
We Need to Talk: Honor
When: 2/25, 6:00 pm
Where: Dairy Arts Center
Join inspiring presenters from varied walks of life for a panel discussion on honor at the Gordon Gamm Theater. Speakers Florence Muller, Sara Bercholz, and Kate Maloney share their accomplishments, failures, and lessons learned during the course of this discussion. Participants can also RSVP to join the panelists for an intimate dinner at Frasca Food and Wine following the discussion.
Resizing Real Estate

Boulder International Film Festival
When: 2/28 – 3/3
Where: various locations around Boulder
To kick off this year’s Boulder International Film Festival, David Crosby of Crosby, Stills, and Nash will present his new film, “David Crosby: Remember My Name” on opening night. The festival is also set to host acclaimed actor and director, Emilio Estevez. BIFF brings national and international films to Boulder’s beloved venues while inspiring and connecting filmmakers with their audiences.
