Learn to poach eggs, whip up a quick and easy roasted carrot salad, and indulge in decadent (yet healthy) fare during Food Lab’s Father’s Day Brunch. Food Lab is a popular spot for special celebrations and memorable moments. Reserve a spot for you and your pop soon before the class fills up.
Father’s Day Cookout
When: 6/18, 10:45 am – 2 pm
Where: Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts
Boulder’s talented culinary students gather to host a Father’s Day Cookout. Arrive ready to learn grilling techniques, try out new twists on classic picnic recipes, and cook with the knowledgeable Chef Dallas Houle, an instructor at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. For dads turned foodies, or vice versa, this Father’s Day Cookout class can’t be beat.
Father’s Day Stained Glass Workshop
When: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Colorado Glass Works
Celebrate Dad by co-creating a mountain-themed piece of stained glass during this 1.5-hour session. Colorado Glass Works hosts introductory classes throughout the year so beginners can try their artistry at making a gorgeous work of art out of stained glass. Acoustic Father’s Day Brunch

Where: Niwot Wheel Works
Just off the Diagonal Highway sits a charming little bicycle and brew pub called Niwot Wheel Works. It often features local musicians and serves beer, kombucha, and cold brew coffee on tap. This Father’s Day, musician Jeremy Dion, a Boulder-based musician with quite the following, brings his talents to Wheel Works to treat dad from all walks of life to a little acoustic session accompanied by a couple of cold pints.
Father’s Day Super Sunday Monster Truck Show
When: 6/18, all-day
Where: Colorado National Speedway
If you’ve never been to a monster truck rally, it’s about time to check one out. Regardless of whether the father in your life is into monster trucks, this is a spectacle of epic proportions. Check out some of the wildest rigs in the country and cheer on drivers as they make death-defying jumps over piles of debris, pop wheelies, and go head-to-head in a demolition-style derby. In addition to these epic events, Boulder, Colorado is one of the prettiest playgrounds in the country. Choose your own adventure and take Dad on a hike, float tubes down Boulder Creek, or rent a paddle board and spend the day at Gross Reservoir. There’s no shortage of fun to be had in our little slice of paradise.
