First Storyteller’s Festival
When: 10/2, 10/5
Where: Dairy Arts Center
On October 2nd and 5th, join us at the Dairy Arts Center to celebrate Native American theatre. This festival features the work of Native American creatives that will educate a new generation of storytellers and reclaim the narrative of Native stories. Shows at the Dairy include Savage: A New Musical, Embers Borne West, Dibaajimo (s/he tells a story), and Pink Man or the Only Indian in the Room. Tickets are available here.
Pottery Workshop: Halloween Themed Platter Using Sgraffito and Stenciling
When: 10/12
Where: Dairy Arts Center
Boulder is famous for being an artistic city. Register for a Halloween-themed pottery-making class at the Dairy Arts Center if you’d like to learn a new skill and meet other art enthusiasts. On October 12th, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Jeff Osgood will lead the class in bringing their ideas to life through the use of vinyl stencils and a technique called sgraffito. Wellness Week
When: 10/16-10/20
Where: Downtown Boulder
From October 16th-20th, join Dragonfly Health at locations throughout downtown Boulder for an immersive health summit. During this gathering, you’ll have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge approaches to health and wellness. Events will include workshops, education, shopping, exhibits, a film festival, and networking events. Boulder Burgundy Festival
When: 10/18-10/20
Where: Location varies by event
Boulder Burgundy Festival is returning for its 14th year from October 18th-20th. Although several events are already sold out, tickets for the Grand Cru Tour of Chablis and the Grand Tasting are still available. If you appreciate Burgundy wines or want to learn about the legendary wines from this region, you won’t want to miss out on this exceptional wine festival. Spaces tend to fill quickly; make your reservation soon if you want to attend.
Spooky Cabaret
When: 10/19
Where: Frequent Flyers Studio
In the spirit of the season, Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance is hosting Spooky Cabaret at the studio. This is the third annual rendition of this event and will feature a spine-tingling performance by gravity-defying aerialists. With shows at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, there’s a lot of fun to be had! Vinnie Fera Wine will be open next door, so you can enjoy wine by the glass as you mingle with the community. Don your costume and stick around for the costume contest at 9:00 for a chance to win some great prizes, including a free aerial private lesson. Grab your tickets here.
Terror in the Corn

Where: Anderson Farms in Erie
Terror in the Corn is Colorado’s ultimate haunted house experience. If you’re looking for an intensely creepy haunted attraction, this is it! In nearby Erie, Terror in the Corn features a mile-long maze through a cornfield filled with nightmarish sights and sounds. This one isn’t for the faint of heart and is not recommended for kids under age 10. The price of admission includes a Fall Festival pass for Anderson Farms, so come ready to explore! Smoke and Mirrors at BMoCA
When: Now through 1/12/25
Where: BMoCA
From now until January 12, 2025, Smoke and Mirrors is available for viewing at BMoCA. This exhibition is presented by a group of artists who, through optical illusions, highlight our propensity to distraction by shiny or transparent objects that distort reality. This multifaceted exhibition will feature a wide array of reflective materials and uncommon methodologies to capture your attention as you explore the diverse works of eight different artists.
