Boulder Startup Week is an annual event that inspires ideas, supports entrepreneurs, and helps startups find their footing. It is a free week-long conference specifically geared toward dreamers, visionaries, and a variety of concepts, ranging from the practical to the unconventional. Here’s what you should know about this important event.
When and Where
Boulder Startup Week takes place from May 12th to May 16th. It consists of sessions, presentations, and fairs held at various locations throughout downtown Boulder. Visit the event website if you’re interested in attending or participating in other ways, such as sponsorship or volunteering.
Pitch Competition
One of the main events of Boulder Startup Week is the Pitch Competition, which provides founders with the opportunity to present their company or idea, gain exposure, and compete for cash and various prizes. Those who advance to the final round will be invited to pitch their startup live in front of a panel of judges (and the BSW community) on May 15th.
Volunteer Opportunities
If your business-mindedness is only surpassed by your civic-mindedness, Boulder Startup Week offers various volunteer opportunities for you to choose from, including the following:
- Behind-the-scenes operations
- Marketing and website help
- Venue relationship building and sponsorship cultivation
- Evening events planning
- Securing donations of coffee, snacks, t-shirts, and other items
Job Fair
Another marquee event of Boulder Startup Week is the job fair, which provides both new and experienced job seekers access to employment opportunities. At this fair, you can engage in the following:
- Meet hiring managers face to face
- Explore diverse opportunities from a wide range of industries
- Find companies aligned with your personal values and mission statement
- Get a feel for what a company might be like to work for
This fair caters to job seekers of all experience levels, whether you are seeking an entry-level role to get your foot in the door or a senior management position.
Startup Fair
Of course, no startup week would be complete without a startup fair. This fair allows startups to enhance their visibility, showcase their talents, network with other companies, and attract investors.
To secure your spot, you must apply and have raised less than $ 1 million in total funding. You must also be available on May 14th between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Boulder Startup Week is a must-attend event for local entrepreneurs. This event offers significant exposure and provides an opportunity to jumpstart your success.
