The official start of spring is just around the corner. This year, the spring equinox occurs on March 19th. This time of year marks longer days, warmer weather, and everything that we love about this beautiful season. Interested in attending springtime events near Boulder? Here, I share a few gatherings that are coming up soon:
March 9th: Nowruz Bazaar in Denver
On March 9th, the fourth annual Nowruz Bazaar is happening in Denver. Nowruz is the first day of the Iranian New Year, and is celebrated during the vernal equinox. The Nowruz Bazaar will be located at 4700 East Iliff Avenue in Denver, and is open to the public–tickets not required! During this gathering, guests will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant culture and traditions of Iran. The bazaar will feature Persian cuisine, music, and handmade items for sale. The event kicks off at 11am and runs until 3pm.
March 14th: Art & Sip Celestial Equinox Paintings in Longmont
Looking for a fun way to celebrate spring? Stop by the Art & Sip event in Longmont on March 14th. As you create a celestial painting of the spring equinox, you’ll have the chance to mingle with the community as you sip on your beverage of choice. Wine, beer, fizzy water, and light refreshments will be available for purchase. At the end of the night, you’ll have a spring piece of art to bring home.
March 16th: Spring Equinox Gathering With Sound Healing
Springtime is such a magical time of year because it’s synonymous with renewal. If you’re a yogi or interested in exploring this pastime, you’ll want to check out the Spring Equinox Gathering at Yoga Pearl. The group discussion will be led by Valerie Weyrich and presented through a lens of Ayurveda. It will be followed by yoga asana practice, breath work and sound healing with gongs. This is a great opportunity to shed what’s past as you focus on a vision for the future.
March 17th: Spring Equinox at the StarHouse
Boulder’s StarHouse is an incredible place to get in touch with nature and the cosmos. If you’ve never experienced this incredible temple before, the spring equinox celebration is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted. On March 17th from 3:30 to 6pm, attendees will gather to celebrate new life as we enter this sacred season. Tickets are available here.
