
Boulder is a wonderful place to live because of many reasons – its beautiful outdoor scenery, unbridled mountain access, diverse community, and inclusive mentality. Out Boulder represents the supportive and encouraging mindset of our Boulder community and has long offered programs for city’s LGBTQ members. This summer, Out Boulder is hosting or participating in a number of events throughout the city. It also offers resources for all members of our community. Boulder Comedy Festival
When: 6/26, 8:00 pm
Where: The Dairy Arts Center
Each year, the Boulder Comedy Festival attracts comedians from around the nation. Saturday’s proceeds will go to Out Boulder, so encourage everyone to mark their calendars. The festival specifically highlights women, minorities, and LGBTQ comedians. We’ve missed live shows over the past year and are looking forward to a night out on the town, complete with stand up comedy.
Out Boulder Open House
When: 6/30, 4:30 – 6:30pm
Where: 1443 Spruce St.
Recently, this non-profit moved into a new space and will welcome supporters, newcomers, and all interested people to attend this open house. Learn about the group’s mission, meet board members, and enjoy light refreshments. This event marks the end of Pride month, however, Out Boulder isn’t slowing down in advocating for the LGBTQ individuals of our city, state, and country.
LGBTQ Youth Summer Camp
When: 8/8 – 8/12
Where: TBD
Now in its 3rd year, Out Boulder’s summer camp program brings our city’s youth together and inspires them to get outdoors. The goal remains to provide a free, LGBTQ-focused camp for teens throughout Boulder County. Activities like swimming, hiking, cooking over the campfire, and community building are just a few of the awesome ventures participants will have the opportunity to partake in during this summer camp.
Rollings Programs
Out Boulder’s weekly calendar includes events, programs, and workshops focused on the LGBTQ experience in our city. Classes include “Work in Progress”, “LGBTQ AA”, and “Queer Conversations”, andgive a space for all individuals to be seen and heard for who they are. Out Boulder creates a safe and caring place where LGBTQ individuals, their families, and friends can gather, share resources, encourage one another, and build positive communities.
Vaccine Resources
Find out where to get vaccinated with Out Boulder’s helpful schedule, here. The list is comprehensive, offering information on short-term walk up clinics and long-term COVID vaccination sites. Offering vaccine resources helps ensure equity in the distribution of the vaccine.
Out Boulder invites all pronouns, all genders, and all family structures to attend any program they are curious about. . Furthermore, if anyone in Boulder has questions, concerns, or needs help, this non-profit is always ready to offer support however it can.
