
September is shaping up to offer engaging events that invite Boulder’s residents outside to appreciate art, nature and music. With regards to weather, September may be one of the most pleasant months in Boulder – nights cool down, afternoon thunderstorms become less frequent, and leaves are just starting to turn. agriCULTURE
When: 9/1 – 30
Where: BMoCA
The month of September is your last chance to catch this captivating exhibit and social commentary on the agricultural industry and how it shapes our world. 18 local and national artists collaborated with Boulder County farmers to discover parallels between art and ag. This project hopes to shed more light on some of the diverse practices employed by farmers along the Front Range, which seek to fight climate change, restore the land, and invite back indigenous growing practices.
Pearl Street Stampedes
When: 9/8, 15, 29, 7 pm
Where: 1300 Block of the Pearl Street Mall
The Pearl Street Stampede is the place to kick off a CU home football game. For over a decade, thousands of Buffs fans have gathered along Pearl Street the night before the game to join an epic parade. The tradition continues today and grows stronger with each passing year. No stampede is complete without the staple, antique fire truck, music from the Golden Buffalo Marching Band, smiling members of the CU football team, and the excited coaching staff. Bring some pom-poms and spend Friday night with CU’s dedicated fan base.
The Found Collective x Dairy Arts
When: 9/9, 1 – 6 pm
Where: Dairy Arts Center
The Found Collective will host an outdoor marketplace with the Dairy in its north parking lot. Over 30+ vendors and local businesses will display and sell various handmade goods and offer services. Pottery, art, clothing, Turkish rugs, botanicals, and more are up for grabs alongside activities like getting a tattoo or a tarot card reading. Topping off this fun afternoon is a live Flamenco Dance performance. Don’t miss this immersive end-of-summer experience.
Oktoberfest at St Julien
When: 9/17, 1 – 4 pm
Where: St Julien Hotel Lawn & Terrace
Travel to Germany and celebrate Oktoberfest for the afternoon without having to leave Boulder. Don your finest lederhosen and come prepared to dance. This festival provides a lineup of incredible German beer, authentic food, and the Alan Polivaka Band, a world-class Polka group known for getting the crowd on their feet. Don’t miss this chance to cut loose in lederhosen with your fellow German beer lovers.
Race at a Nice Pace
When: 9/17, 2 – 7 pm
Where: Eben G. Fine Park
This cruiser ride invites everyone to hop on their set of wheels and “race” for the good of the community. Now in its 3rd year, Race at a Nice Pace raises money for TGTHR, a non-profit and social movement that aims to inspire youth and communities to work together to end youth homelessness. Cruise down the bike path from Eben G. Fine to Junkyard Social Club, where everyone can celebrate a victory with wood-fired pizzas, tasty brews, and a playground of epic proportions. Mark your calendars!
September Solstice Party
When: 9/20, 5pm
Where: Corrida’s Rooftop
Celebrate the end of summer at Corrida’s Rooftop with the grand finale of the Summer Sunset Series. Experience a live concert featuring Eric Benny Bloom, Dominic Lalli, Borahm Lee, Hunter Roberts, Braxton Kahn & DJ Ryan Nelii, renowned artists from the Boulder scene. Indulge in Spanish tapas, dry-aged beef, and traditional desserts along with bottomless wine, beer, and cocktails, all included in the $225 per person ticket for an unforgettable evening. Fall Fest
When: 9/22 – 24, all-day
Where: Downtown Boulder
Our city is never short of live music, local artists, and fresh food. Boulder’s Fall Fest combines these for one final hurrah outdoors before proper winter weather arrives. Dance the afternoon away and stock up on local, homemade goods like honey, pastries, tea blends, and more to get you through the winter. Peruse artisan wares like hats, jewelry, candles, and personal care products from Firefly Handmade Market, or simply catch up with old friends over a drink in the beer garden.
