Holiday Pop-Up Shop

Support Boulder’s burgeoning art scene when shopping for holiday gifts this season. The Holiday Pop-Up Shop features work by painters, photographers, ceramicists, and more. Bursting with one-of-a-kind treasures, this artisan market may just be your one-stop shop for family and friends on your list. Proclaiming Colorado’s Black History Guided Tours
When: 12/2, 12 – 12:45
Where: Museum of Boulder
Join Colorado’s Black History Co-Project Director and Lead Curator, Adrian Miller, as he takes guests on a journey. Learn about the history of Black Coloradans from 1840 to the present during a guided tour and witness “Colorful Colorado” in a whole new light. Miller is a published author, James Beard Foundation award winner, and former special assistant to President Clinton. He is incredibly knowledgeable and the perfect person to teach Boulderites about their city’s history from a Black American perspective. Get your ticket here.
Freezie Fest
When: 12/9, 11 am – 3 pm
Where: 1300 Block of Pearl Street
This snowman-themed festival features countless activities that are fun for the whole family. From free train rides to visits with Santa, there’s cheer to be had for guests of all ages. Plus, it’s the last day to play Find Freezie, so bring your A-game. Bundle up to enjoy an afternoon out with Boulder’s Freezie fans.
Chanukah Menorah Lighting on Pearl
When: 12/11, 5:30 – 7
Where: 1300 Block of Pearl
Hosted by the Boulder JCC and Boulder County Center for Judaism, this Chanukah Menorah Lighting brings together Boulder’s Jewish Community to celebrate the start of this high holiday. This annual event is open to everyone and now marks a sweet holiday tradition for many families. Enjoy music, hot latkes, fresh jelly donuts, and more holiday favors.
Winter Solstice Celebration
When: 12/21, 7:00 pm
Where: The Dairy Arts Center
Enjoy a guided celebration of the shortest day of the year with Thomas Droge. He combines the wisdom of ancient traditions together with modern insight about the changing seasons, winter holidays, the night sky, and more. This Winter Solstice Celebration centers on nurturing oneself, slowing down life’s pace, and listening to the still sounds of winter. Share tea with new friends while learning about the Winter Solstice and discovering new ways to embrace this season.
