Frequent Fliers Aerial Dance Festival
When: 8/1 – 11, showtimes vary

For years, Boulder’s aerial dance community has been gaining a loyal following and attracting newcomers to this awesome sport. 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the Aerial Dance Festival and the 35th anniversary of Frequent Fliers. Join the high-flying fun by catching a performance, taking a class, or attending a workshop. This festival attracts aerial dancers from around the world and curates a spectacular event that is both celebratory and innovative. Support this thriving community by attending this year’s ADF.
Plein Air Sketching at The Farm
When: 8/4, 11, 18, 25, 9 am – 12 pm
Where: Farms vary
Hosted by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, this experience is educational and meditative. Partake in the joys of plein air art while learning about local Boulder farms and their respective flora and fauna. Bring your folding chair or stool and a field notebook or sketchbook to get started. Each class is led by a knowledgeable art teacher who will walk students through sketching and then coloring farm-centric creations.
Patio Party with Pago
When: 8/9, 6 pm
Where: Corrida
Take a trip to Basque country without leaving Boulder during Corrida’s patio party. Renowned Chef Samuel McCandless will prepare a sucking pig, Segovian-style. Learn about bold Spanish reds and bright whites with expert Molly Steele from the Carraovejas Winery. Take in golden hour in the shadow of the Flatirons while celebrating all that sweet summertime in our city has to offer.
Colorado Brazil Fest
When: 8/10 – 13
Where: Downtown Boulder, locations vary
The Colorado Brazil Fest is the biggest of its kind in our state and one of the largest in the nation. Each year, it welcomes about 2,000 participants. Hosted by Boulder Samba School, this Colorado Brazil Fest brings music, food, culture, dancing, and more right to our front door. Since 2009, this festival has created an opportunity for Brazilian individuals living in the U.S. to celebrate and share their cultures. Stay tuned for the complete schedule of events here.
Boulder Taco Fest
When: 8/26, 12 – 7
Where: Boulder Civic Center and Library
If you haven’t experienced Boulder’s annual Taco Fest, get a ticket to this crazy celebration. Tacos from the best restaurants in town go hand-in-hand with lucha libre wrestling, tequila, and live music. Plan to spend the entire afternoon having a grand old time with Boulder’s tequila and taco enthusiasts. You’re going to want to make this a yearly tradition.
