Boulder Arts Week takes place on Pearl Street from April 4th to April 12th. This annual spring event celebrates the vibrant artistic community in Boulder County, one of the most prominent creative communities in the nation, and nurtures the inner artist in everyone. Here’s what you need to know before you go:
What is Boulder Arts Week?
Boulder Arts Week is a free, open-to-all-ages celebration that encourages creativity through various mediums and highlights local talent through murals, installations, musical performances, poetry readings, and dance shows.
This week offers entertainment, artistic value, and numerous educational opportunities. Participants are encouraged to attend workshops, join master classes, and engage in discussions that enhance skills and deepen their understanding and appreciation of art.
The Boulder Arts Week Event Schedule

- Downtown mural walking tours
- Poets on Pearl
- Arts in the wild
- Metalsmithing

Student Banners
Another mainstay of Boulder Arts Week is the Student Banner Project. This project begins in January each year and invites artists from Columbine Elementary School, Casey Middle School, and Boulder High School to create banners for display on Pearl Street lamp poles. This year’s theme is “Embracing our unique backgrounds makes the community stronger.”

Boulder Arts Week is sponsored by the Boulder County Arts Alliance, whose mission is to foster and support the thriving art scene in Boulder and the surrounding areas.
