Open Wall
When: 4/5-4/7
Where: Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
If you know me, you know that I love BMoCA. This gallery always provides an incredible experience, and I’m thrilled to let you know that the Open Wall event will offer a chance to peruse artwork for sale. Artists of all mediums and experience levels are taking part in Open Wall, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for local artists to gain exposure and for art enthusiasts to collect one-of-a-kind pieces. Conference on World Affairs
When: 4/9-4/12
Where: Locations across CU Boulder
I’ve covered the Conference on World Affairs in a previous blog post, but it’s well worth mentioning again in case you missed it. Our world is facing unprecedented challenges, and the Conference on World Affairs (CWA) aims to bring together a diverse global community to discuss pressing topics. This gathering spans four days, will take place at various locations across the CU Boulder campus, and will feature impressive speakers who are experts in their field. Spanning topics from climate change to political polarization, this conference is one you’ll definitely want to explore.
Cabaret on the Rocks
When: 4/12
Where: Boulder Theater
If you’re looking for a boisterous evening of fun while benefiting the critical work of Out Boulder County, Cabaret on the Rocks is for you! Hosted at Boulder Theater in the heart of downtown, this event is sure to be memorable. Performers include Hugh Panaro, Latrice Royale, and John McDaniel. Each of these individuals are unbelievably talented, and will certainly bring down the house with jaw-dropping performances. If you’d like to attend, be sure to grab a ticket!
Taste of Pearl
When: 4/14
Where: Historic Downtown Boulder and Pearl Street Mall
Taste of Pearl is back after a four-year hiatus! This one-of-a-kind event is a roundup of our city’s most talented restaurants and chefs, and will be hosted in top boutiques and galleries on April 14th from 2-6pm. This event truly is the best of both worlds, as you can explore offerings from retail hosts while enjoying specially curated bites and beverages. If you love food and/or shopping, you won’t want to miss out. Tickets are available here.
Lunar Lux Music and Arts Festival
When: 4/22-4/29
Where: DV8 Distillery
Looking for a party? Stop by the Lunar Lux Music and Arts Festival at DV8 Distillery from April 22nd-29th! This eclectic gathering will feature more than 80 performing artists, including genres such as metal, EDM, blues, cow punk, and more. While you’re here, check out the retail vendors, food trucks, LED spinners, and sip on a cocktail or craft beverage. Get your passes here.
