At the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, showings across the country sharply declined. We’ve seen a rebound since then, and showings were up 25% the week of September 13, 2020. It’s not just Boulder County that’s experiencing a strong market: North America as a whole is showing promising trends. This is good news for all of us, as those hoping to sell their home elsewhere to relocate to Boulder may be able to do so quickly.
Breaking down the stats in Boulder County, the market is performing well across the board. In the $0-500,000 range, there were 39 new listings and 29 under contract the week of September 13, for an under contract to new listings ratio of 74.4%. Homes in the range of $500,001-2,000,000 are faring exceptionally well, with an under contract to new listing ratio of over 100%.
During the week of September 13 to September 20, 2020, Boulder County saw 104 new listings and 105 that were active, taking backups, or pending for a ratio of 101%. During the same week last year, the under contract to new listings ratio was 88.7%, meaning that more inventory was available the previous year.
