The fall 2016 cohort’s Demo Day is Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at the Boulder Theater. With high-energy presentations and a packed house, it’s a ton of fun that you won’t want to miss!
If you’re involved in the Boulder startup scene and haven’t heard of Boomtown Accelerator, take note! It’s a startup accelerator that has helped more than 50 startups get up and running. Every year, it accepts a new group of companies to join its 12-week accelerator bootcamp. Through innovative curriculum, mentorship by successful entrepreneurs, and a passionate leadership staff, Boomtown shows teams what they can accomplish when they spend three months developing their companies alongside some of the best and brightest in the entrepreneurial world.
Here’s what you can expect at this year’s Demo Day:
Diverse Topics
The fall cohort includes a broad range of companies from health tech to financial tech to education. Four are from Boulder/Denver and the others hail from Fort Lauderdale and St. Louis. Be prepared to learn from each team about the unique aspects of their companies.
Pitches
Demo Day begins with participants meeting with potential investors. The founders of each company have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to accredited investors, who in turn meticulously question them to discover whether their company is a good fit. This is sure to get the teams warmed up for their community presentations later that evening.
Community Presentations
The day ends on a high note, with teams presenting their startups to the public at the Boulder Theater. Last year’s Demo Day evening presentation sold out with a whopping 1,000 people in the audience! Tickets are still available for this year’s presentation, so don’t wait to get yours!
