For an interesting spin on a typical 4th of July celebration, swap the parades for a park-side picnic with symphonic delights. The talented Boulder Symphony will serenade guests with classics from the likes of William Tell, while also treating cinephiles to theme songs from their favorite flicks like Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Bring a lawn chair and pack a picnic to make an entire evening out of this Independence Day event.
Folsom Field’s 4th of July
When: 7 pm
Where: Folsom Field
This locally-loved event is back and a little different this year. Instead of fireworks, event planners have opted to use drones to create an intricate show in the night sky. Live music by the School of Rock, Funkiphino, and the Custom Shop-Band will accompany this innovative performance. Plan to grab some dinner from local food trucks and CU’s concession stands before finding your way into the stands and setting up shop for this excellent performance. The Folsom Field 4th of July event is a beloved community shindig and we are so excited it’s here to stay.
