With the first frost already behind us, and the smell of pumpkin and spice surrounding us, it’s evident that Fall is finally upon us.  As Boulderites, we do not shy away from the cold.  We celebrate and embrace it.  There are plenty of events happening throughout town this month, so put on your coat and celebrate November! Be sure to check out these exciting events in Boulder, Colorado!

Halloween Extravaganza & Flood Fundraising

When: Friday, November 1st at 8:00pm

Where: AscenDance Studios

Tickets: $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door

The Boulder Flood is still fresh in our memories, and we are all painfully aware of how much fundraising is neededAscenDance Studios is putting on a spectacular fundraising event filled with spectacles like fire spinning and acro balancing acts. If you plan on attending, be sure to wear a costume, because a contest will be held at midnight!

Samhain: The Soulful Side of Hallowe’en in Celtic Spirituality

When: Sunday, November 3rd from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Where: Solstice Center, Boulder, CO

Tickets: There is no admission fee; however, donations are suggested.

Who said that Halloween fun had to end with October? According to Celtic tradition, the days after All Hallow Eve are a time to connect with spirits, pay respects to ancient wisdom, reflect, and embrace sacred traditions.   Join Maria Jekic and Edie Stone as they lead this evening of Celtic spirituality.  Guests are encouraged to bring with them a picture, cloth, or object that represents a bond with their ancestry.

12th Annual Lunafest

When: Thursday, November 11th at 7:00pm

Where: Boulder Theater

Cost: $12.50 for seniors and $17.50 for general admission

Come down to the Boulder Theatre for an evening of embracing the feminine spirit. Nine films – with genres stretching from drama to animation – will be screened, each highlighting different aspects of womanhood.  Expect tales of body image struggles, breaking barriers, motherhood, and more. Whether you’re a feminist, or simply a movie lover, it’s one event you’ll want to attend. This traveling film festival is making one stop in Boulder, and you don’t want to miss it.
