What You Need To Know About The Laudisio Pop-Up Event at Mateo

If you love Italian food, or you fondly remember Laudisio restaurant, you’ll be pleased to learn that Mateo is hosting a one-time-only pop-up event on Wednesday, December 6. Here’s what you can expect:

Mateo on Pearl Street is quite popular, so if you enjoy the ambiance and atmosphere, be sure to participate in this unique, nostalgic event. For a taste of several delectable dishes and to experience the culinary talents of Chef Antonio Laudisio, we highly recommend making your reservation soon . For those of you who love and miss Laudisio Ristorante Italiano, you’re in luck—a few of the signature entrees will make an appearance once again. Confirmed dishes on the menu include Scarpiello, Arrabiata, and Halibut Francese.

The Laudisio restaurant was a favorite for many Boulderites, and it’s been a few years since the original location closed. If you were a regular at Laudisio, this event is a can’t-miss: not only will Chef Antonio be on-site to prepare his legendary recipes, but a handful of the original staff will be attending, as well. Brett Zimmerman, MS, Matthew Jansen, Tavio Laudisio, and Steve Lewis are excited to join the fun and catch up with guests on December 6.

Brett Zimmerman, Master Sommelier, began his career at Laudisio, and now owns Boulder Wine Merchant. In addition to the wonderful food and company, attendees will enjoy a selection of Giuliana Imports Italian wines that pair perfectly with the menu. What’s even more awesome about this event? In the spirit of the holiday season, Chef Antonio is donating a portion of the funds to charity.
