With the cold weather finally behind us, it’s high time to kick off summer, and Boulder knows how to celebrate in style. With outdoor performances and festivals, Boulder is ready to jump into the summer season full swing. This season, there are plenty of events in Boulder, Colorado to keep you and your family busy and satisfied.


Outdoor Concert season is finally here. Warm weather is upon us, and Chautauqua Outdoor Auditorium has many concerts lined up, a few of which are:

Boulder Shakespeare Festival

Boulder is hosting the annual Colorado Shakespeare Festival all summer long. This festival has become at staple in the University’s culture; it began over a century ago on the lawn of Old Main, and has returned every year since.

Throughout these summer months, attendees can enjoy Shakespeare’s finest plays at Boulder’s Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre. Productions being featured this summer will include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth, and Richard II. For more information, be sure to visit the festival’s website.

Hanuman Festival

Yoga enthusiasts from all corners of the country will gather together in Boulder for the annual Hanuman Festival, taking place June 13th through June 16th. This community oriented festival of music and yoga will feature world-class yoga instructors and world known musicians. Tickets can be purchased here.

Culinary Workshops

As always, Boulder is hosting a slew of culinary events for those interested sharpening their skills. For instance, if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make sushi, it’s worth attending Coda Health Kitchen’s Just Roll It! This workshop will teach you all you need to know about rolling sushi on June 5th, at 7pm.

Denver Happenings

If you’re in the mood for some big city action this month, Denver has quite a few events taking place. Among the many events being held in Denver, these two stuck out among the rest.

Fleetwood Mac at the Pepsi Center

Music sensation Fleetwood Mac will be gracing the stage at the Pepsi Center on June 1st as part of their 34-city tour across the Unites States. The multi-Grammy winning, international band will perform in Chicago, New York, Boston and Denver, among other cities during this nation-wide tour. Tickets to see these rock & roll legends can be purchased through Ticketmaster and the Denver Post.

Annual Cherry Blossom Festival

If you’re a fan of blossoming foliage, Denver is hosting its annual Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd at Sakura Square. 15,000 people are expected to attend.

This weekend-long festival is the perfect place to bring the family for a weekend of fun activities. Attendees will have the pleasure to experience Japanese drum and dance performances, cultural demonstrations, and traditional Japanese cuisine.
