Imagine if you were given the chance to taste test all the very best chocolate the world has to offer. Now, imagine that the decadence was enhanced even further by delicious cocktails, dancing, and great company. If you ask us, it’s a dream come true. It’s safe to say that we have an affinity for chocolate around this office. It’s quite fortunate, then, that the Boulder Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence will be hosting their 36th annual Chocolate Lovers Fling this February. Here are all of the delicious details you’ll need to know before the sweet day arrives:
Who & Why
The event is hosted by the Boulder Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, a human rights organization dedicated to ending violence against adults, youth, and children.
Proceeds from the event benefit SPAN’s numerous local programs, which help people of all race, color, age, gender, and creed achieve equality in our community. Attendance helps benefit the following programs:
- Emergency Shelter
- Outreach Counseling
- Transitional Services
- Training & Community Education
What an excellent way to come together as a community, while also educating others about human rights issues that lead to violence and countless forms of discrimination. We can all agree that one person affected by hate is one too many, and this organization is worthy of our support.
Chocolate everything. Not only will there be dinner, drinks, dancing, and an auction, but everywhere you turn, you will find some form of chocolate to ogle or taste. Various games will also take place throughout the evening, including favorites such as an Old Fashioned Cake Walk, Willy Wonka Bar, and Chocolate Drawing. An artisan chocolate tasting is also in the cards.
This is the ultimate event for chocolate lovers, and if you’re going to indulge in a calorie-laden social outing, there is truly no better reason to do it.
