We blinked and suddenly spring break is practically upon us! Daylight hours are growing longer and warmer temps mean even more outside activities. If you’re seeking a way to keep your children entertained during the impending five day break from school, look no further than our beautiful city. Here’s a handful of awesome activities to educate, engage, and entertain children of all ages. 

Ski Down Green Groomers 

Where: Eldora Mountain

Eldora is just a hop, skip, and jump away from downtown Boulder. Parents can load the kids up early with their ski gear and be on the slopes by 9 am. Plus, this affordable resort has a host of other activities like nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Knowledgeable instructors can help youngsters improve their skills and gain confidence on the mountain. Grab a snack or lunch on the mountain and enjoy getting those last ski days in this season. 

Hike or Bike Along LoBo Trail

Where: LoBo Trailhead

This 12-mile trail system is easy to access and well maintained, offering a straightforward way to get outside no matter the weather. Easily bike along the gravel path from Boulder, all the way to Longmont. For those looking to make a shorter day of it, take the trail into Niwot and enjoy a delicious slice of pizza or warm cup of coffee along the bedroom community’s charming main street. Views of the Rockies are breathtaking, and from certain vantage points along the trail, visitors can easily spy the Flatirons and Longs Peak.

Try for a Strike  

Where: University Memorial Center

For fun indoors, head to CU Boulder’s University MEmorial Center. Its entire first floor is home to The Connection Bowling, Billiards, and Games. Improve your bowling score, play a rousing game of ping-pong, or kick back at the video game consoles. Make a day of it and have lunch at the concession stand, open daily. The newly renovated space is inviting and family-friendly; there’s no reason not to spend a day off school at The Connection.
