2020 Colorado Springtime Festivals

The melting snow and lengthening days mean that some of our state’s best festivals are just around the corner. There’s nothing more beautiful than Colorado’s foothills and meadows blooming in the springtime. Its many festivals celebrate our state’s natural beauty, storied heritage, and rich culture. Here are some upcoming spring festivals we are definitely looking forward to!

Boulder Arts Week [NOW ONLINE]

When: 3/27 – 4/4

Where: Online

This seven-day event celebrates our city’s vibrant artistic community. From film screenings to dance performances, Boulder Arts Week showcases the work of myriad talented individuals and supports our city’s rich culture. This event has been moved to online, but check their website for updates.

Taste of Vail [POSTPONED]

When: 4/1 – 4/4

Where: various locations around Vail

Consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top food and wine festivals, Taste of Vail is back yet again with a stellar participant list. Celebrated restaurants, venerated chefs, and elegant wineries gather in the snowy mountains to sample, sip, and share some of the best food and drink in the nation. Learn something new at one of its many informative seminars, taste alongside a Master Sommelier, or bundle up for a mountaintop meal at this awesome springtime festival!  

Taste of Pearl

When: 4/19, 2 – 6 pm 

Where: various locations around Boulder

Fifteen of our city’s best restaurants showcase their delectable cuisine at this much-anticipated festival. Foodies around the country travel to our mountain paradise to sample eats from award-winning restaurants, sip vintages from Colorado wineries, and stroll along a blooming Pearl St in the shadow of the Flatirons. Taste food from top rated restaurants including The Flagstaff House, Corrida, Oak at Fourteenth, and more.

Tulip Fairy and Elf Festival 

When: 4/26, 1 – 5 pm

Where: Pearl Street Mall

Pearl Street assumes an ethereal appearance during this afternoon festival. Hundreds of children dress up as fairies or elves and take to the historic brick pedestrian path for the cutest parade of the year. Celebrating the warming springtime weather, little ones wander through the bountiful flower beds “waking up the tulips”. There are additional activities for children at various points along the route. Check back for details as the festival draws closer!

Mountainfilm

When: 5/22 – 25

Where: various locations around Telluride

Since 1979, this film festival has celebrated and showcased the indomitable spirit of the mountains and those who love them. Each year, this acclaimed festival features international and local directors, athletes, environmentalists, and more, bringing each group together to discuss, share, and inspire. Guests may catch films, attend free events, sit in on seminars, and interact with modern-day changemakers. 

Boulder Creek Festival

When: 5/23 – 5/25

Where: Boulder Creek

The rushing creek that cuts through Boulder provides countless hours of entertainment all summer long. Tubers float over tumbling rapids, whitewater kayakers surf the waves, and avid-fishermen and women can cast their lines after work. Boulder Creek Festival celebrates Boulder’s beautiful ecology and its love of the outdoors. Catch live music, tuck into delicious eats from area restaurants, and let the little ones get their wiggles out at the creekside carnival. 

Whether you’re looking to try new cuisine, get outdoors, or experience perspective-shifting works of art, Colorado has a springtime festival for you. Road trip to the mountains or attend a cool event right in our own beautiful backyard. See you this spring!
